Beach Beau!
We went with my parents on a little day trip. We began by going to a hamburger place in Princeton, NC and then we were off to Garland, NC to visit the Garland shirt factory where they make clothes for Brooks Brothers. Since we were already out and about we decided to head on to Wilmington. While there we took Beau for her first beach trip. I was not sure how she was going to like it, but as soon as her feet hit the sand she absolutely loved it.
Here is Beau's reward for sitting in the car all day while we did things:

Polar Bear Plunge
Matt and I decided, along with Katie that we were going to do the polar bear plunge into the Monongahela river. Katie was not able to join us, but she still did it....jumping in the ocean in Gloucester!
I was so nervous on the way to the Mon Warf...and even more nervous as we were getting undressed in the windy, snowy 27 degree weather, to take the plunge! It is a crazy thing to do, but I am glad that I did it.
All rescue precautions taken care of
The water was so cold that it actually burned. I think that if you stayed in the water it would not feel that cold after awhile. That being said, I could not think about what to do next, I was so cold. It took me a little while to warm up.
