Mid morning walk with Pa

Oliver woke up a little earlier than normal and since the weather is so nice we decided to call my Dad and go on his morning walk with him around Lake Johnson. I was a little worried because Oliver was acting a little tired before we left, but he was a trooper and stayed awake for part of the walk before taking a little nap. He was so cute sleeping in his little stroller. Before he fell asleep we bumped into my Dad's friend and had a little visit. It is always fun to show Oliver off. Matt rode with us to the lake and then ran the 5 miles around the lake and back home.

Sweet napping man.

I thought it was neat how the tree was growing over the sign.

I think you have my hat on.

Look at his little hands !!!

Afternoon out with Dad

The weather this weekend has been a welcome change from the cold, wet days days that we have been having. Matt took Oliver out in the wagon to enjoy the afternoon. They went over to Halifax mall and rode around in the wagon and watched the birds flying over head, the flag blowing in the wind and some people playing kick ball.

A little man in the city.

How big is Oliver? So big. sooooo big!!!!!

Contemplation.

Plaid and Lace Scarf

I love plaid, so when I saw this on Pinterest I just had to make it for myself. We went to Joann's and got some plaid fabric and crochet lace. I think that it turned out pretty nice. The tutorial says it takes 15 minutes. It took me about 45, I think if I made another it would not take as long.

Washington Christmas and New Years

The day after Christmas we made the long trip up to Washington to spend New Years with Grammy and Grandpa. Oliver did amazing on the trip up and the trip back. He is truly a wonderful baby.

We had such a terrific visit hanging out with Sally and Mike. Oliver loved all the extra attention and even stayed up to ring in the New Year with mom and dad. We got to visit with Dan for the couple days that he was home before he had to go out and chase some weather.  New Years Eve was spent with neighborhood friends and we loved showing him off. I got the biggest surprise when Sally gave me one of her embroidery machines! I have been having so much fun learning to use it. While we were there we made Oliver's birthday shirt. It is awesome. Overall it was a fantastic trip and I am looking forward to our next trip.

A rest stop on our super long car ride. Oliver was happy to get out of his car seat for a little bit.

My handsome hubby.

Bath time fun.

Bubble beard man.

Hello Washington!

Oliver decided to stay up and watch the ball drop

Happy New Years!

Oliver's first Christmas

Christmas Day was so much fun. Oliver really seemed to enjoy opening his gifts and looking at all of his new toys. After his nap we headed over to my parents in the afternoon for more presents and family time!
Checking out his new red wagon.

Pa stopped by for a little visit while we were opening Santa presents.

He loves his drum
